Your friends list shows which friends are online and what they're doing. From it you can jump
straight into a friend's Coalition. You can also find friends through
Steam, Google Play Games and (later) Game Center.
| Friends | up to 200 |
| Outgoing requests waiting | up to 50 |
| Incoming requests waiting | up to 100 |
| Requests you can send | 30 per hour |
Each friend shows one of these:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Online | In the game, on a menu |
| In a lobby | Waiting in a game lobby |
| In a match | Playing a match |
| In a coalition | In a Coalition |
| Offline | Not playing, with "last seen" showing when they were last online |
Only your friends can see your status. Nobody else can.
When a friend is in a Coalition and allows friend joins, their row has a Join button. See
Coalitions → Joining a friend.
These settings are in the Friends panel and also in Settings → Privacy. Both places
change the same setting.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Allow friend joins (default on) | On: friends can join your Coalition without an invite. Off (Invite only): friends need an invite to join you. |
| Friend requests from (default Anyone) | Anyone, Players I've met (anyone you've finished an online or Correspondence match with) or Nobody. It also decides who can send you a Coalition invite when they aren't your friend yet. Your friends can always invite you. |
| Let platform friends find me (default on) | Lets your Steam, Google Play Games or Game Center friends find you here even before you're in-game friends. Off: only your in-game friends can find you that way. |
| Appear offline (default off) | You appear offline in your friends' lists, and friends can't join you from there. Your "last seen" time there stops changing while you play. Players in the same lobby or Coalition still see you. On Steam, Join Game and your detailed Steam status are hidden, but Steam itself still shows you playing the game. |
A player who has already sent you a request can always be accepted, whatever
Friend requests from is set to.
Blocking a player ends your friendship and removes any friend requests between you.
Unblocking doesn't bring the friendship back; you'd need to send a new request. Your block list
holds up to 500 players.
The Friends panel has a section for each platform you're signed in to. Each one lists your platform
friends who also play Pact or Peril, with Add Friend (or Sent / Accept). While
you're in a Coalition, you can also Invite them.
| Platform | What you need |
|---|---|
| Steam | Sign in with Steam. Your Steam friend list must be public; if it's private, the panel asks you to make it public. |
| Google Play Games (Android) | Consent: the first time, press Allow to let the game see your Play Games friends. |
| Game Center (iOS) | Not available yet. |
While you're streaming in Streamer Mode, where
you are is hidden from your friends. They can't see which lobby or Coalition you're in, and
they can't use a Join button to follow you. Platform friends who aren't your in-game friends
can't find you either. Steam's Join Game is hidden as well.
